A moment of intense emotion unfolded in the RCB dressing room as Virat Kohli was seen throwing his bat post his dismissal in Match 20 of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. Visuals quickly surfaced showing Kohli, still wearing his helmet, entering the dugout and flinging his bat, sparking fan speculation over whether it was an outburst of anger or sheer frustration.

Kohli had looked in sublime touch during his knock of 67 off 42 balls, which included 8 fours and 2 sixes. But the momentum was abruptly halted when he attempted a big shot off Hardik Pandya and ended up skying a top-edge to Naman Dhir at deep square leg. The timing on the shot was off, and the visibly animated Kohli walked off disappointed, despite a solid innings.

Adding to the intensity of the moment, Kohli later admitted in the mid-match interview:
“That was pretty good. After losing a wicket on the second ball, we countered pretty nicely. Dev played a brilliant impact knock for us… What Rajat did is what Rajat does. One of their spinners was out of the game. That gave us 20-25 runs. The wicket wasn’t as straightforward. Hopefully we break the jinx today.”

Despite the setback, RCB managed to post a commanding total of 221/5 in their 20 overs. Jitesh Sharma added a fiery 40 off 19 balls, while Rajat Patidar contributed a blazing 64 off 32 deliveries, ensuring a power-packed finish for the visitors.
