MI all-rounder Krunal Pandya held by DRI in Mumbai airport on return from Dubai after IPL 2020

Krunal Pandya is one of the most celebrated players of the IPL 2020 winner Mumbai Indians. He along with his brother Hardik Pandya has been an epitome of brotherhood and sportsmanship. On 12th November, the cricketer was returning from Dubai when he was held by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) over suspicious possession of undisclosed gold jewellery and other valuables.

The player made 109 runs and took 6 wickets in the 2020 season of the tournament. Krunal Pandya was living in the bio-bubble with his wife and other MI team members and families. With COVID-19 pandemic, the players were not allowed to move out of the bio-secure bubble and nobody was allowed to enter as well.
