The KL Rahul-led squad will try to correct its mistakes from the previous season and win this time.
LSG released seven players, and they bid in the mini auction with a combined INR.23.35 crore. The individuals in question included Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, and Evin Lewis. LSG needed a middle-order batsman who could also finish off games because Deepak Hooda, Quinton de Kock, and Rahul ruled the batting in the previous season. They spent as much as 16 lakhs to hire Nicholas Pooran.
Pooran scored 306 runs in 14 games while playing for the SRH in the IPL 2022, with a strike rate of 144.34 and an average of 38.25, including two half-centuries.
Nicholas Pooran is one the lethal six hitters which can dominate the upcoming season of IPL. Along with Pooran, Quinton de Kock is another such potential candidate who has been successful in hitting over the ropes in previous IPL seasons.
KL Rahul will be aiming for a longer innings, considering he has to obey the leadership responsibilities but Rahul can be the most dangerous batsman.
