Lionel Messi invited to join the “Golden and Purple” army by Kolkata Knight Riders

The Argentinian striker Lionel Messi decided to leave his childhood club Barcelona via a fax mail shared with the management. Kolkata Knight Riders joined the race along with the other clubs to have Messi be part of their team. A photoshopped picture of the football star was posted by the official KKR twitter account with a caption “Mr Messi, How about donning the Purple and Gold?”

Just like KKR, clubs like -League’s Gokulam FC have also requested Messi to join them. Kolkata adores Messi as much they adore their local cricketing legend Dada I.e., Sourav Ganguly. In 2011, Messi visited Kolkata for a short duration and left thousands of soccer fans sleepless as they ran down to the streets shouting slogans welcoming him.
If he finally leaves Barcelona in the coming weeks, any club wishing to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner will have to spend a hefty amount to match the star’s salary.

While the decision to leave Barcelona made by Messi is finalised, one major question remains unanswered. Everyone is now waiting to see where is the most celebrated footballer going to head next.
The following of the star is unknown to none and while he decides where he goes next, betting companies worldwide have already started releasing odds for betting on his next destination.
