KXIP co-owner Preity Zinta reaches UAE, excited to meet the squad

With the IPL in less than a week, all teams are geared up to start their season on a high. With teams based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, they have well adjusted to their new home for the next two months. Preity Zinta, co-owner of Kings Xi Punjab is all set to join and cheer the squad on in UAE for the 13th season of the IPL. Earlier Ness Wadia stated that he thinks he is fine coordinating over zoom calls and does not see the need to travel all the way.

With mandatory quarantine rules put in place by the BCCI, Preity is under a 6-day quarantine and has to return 3 negative COVID-19 tests before she can join the squad in the bio-secure environment. On Tuesday she returned her 3rd negative test and will soon join the squad.

The franchise posted a video of the Bollywood star in high she informs about how excited she is to meet the squad. The team will be led by first-time skipper KL Rahul under the guidance of head coach Anil Kumble. The franchise eyes their maiden title under KL’s guidance. The side will begin their campaign on 20th September against Delhi Capitals.
