The squad reached UAE last month and started training after 6 days of mandatory quarantine and returning 3 negative COVID-19 tests. The squad has the likes of Shami, Mayank Agarwal, Maxwell and skipper KL Rahul himself.

In a video posted by the Kings on their official Instagram, the players were seen playing an intrasquad match to prepare for the 13th season of IPL which is all set to begin on 19th September. Head coach Anil Kumble said “It’s nice to come out and play a match, it hasn’t happened in 6 months. With many of the here, its nice to come here and have a hit”.

The side will begin their campaign on 20th September against Delhi Capitals that will be led by Shreyas Iyer. The kings are eyeing their most awaited maiden IPL trophy this year and are pumped to play the game of cricket again.
