It’s a big focus for us: Pacer Anrich Nortje on DC’s tactics after losing back-to-back games

On Saturday, April 8, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, the 11th match of the IPL 2023 Rajasthan Royals will be playing (RR) against Delhi Capitals (DC). Both teams have lost their last game. In their first game, RR got out to a fast start. However, despite Jurel and Hetmyer’s heroics, they lost their most recent game to Punjab. On the other hand, DC has lost two games in a row and are yet to find their initial win of this season.\

DC pacer Anrich Nortje stated that the team will be looking to fight back today after facing consecutive losses in this season’s IPL.

It was a quick turnaround, but felt quite good to be back and playing the game. We took our flight overnight so the time difference was ideal because I got to sleep on the flight. Unfortunate about how the last game panned out but was nice to get out there and be with the team again. The talk has been about doing the basics right and doing it for long periods, trying to partnerships up front with the bat, trying to build partnerships with the ball as well. Obviously the more wickets we can take the better, but also trying to restrict the opposition as much as we can and get some momentum going. (On powerplay bowling) Definitely important, we can build some sort of pressure, the more wickets we can get. It is a big focus for us.

Talking about the game –

Delhi Capitals have won the toss and opted to field first as skipper Warner isn’t sure about how the pitch will react. On the other hand Sanju Samson and company have been played at this incredible stadium and their recent experience will benefit the team for the match against Delhi Capitals.
