Tom Moody, the franchise’s longtime head coach, has bid farewell to Sunrisers Hyderabad and been relieved of his responsibilities. As of right now, Brian Lara is the franchise’s head coach.
We hear that Sunrisers and Moody mutually decided to separate ways. One of the six teams in the ILT20, which is set to debut in the UAE in January 2023, just appointed Moody director of cricket. Moody’s contract with the team, which expired earlier this year, was available for renewal, but it was always anticipated that the parties would not stay together given the squad’s underwhelming performance under his leadership in the previous couple of seasons.
“As his term with us draws to an end, we would like to thank Tom for his contributions to SRH. It has been a much cherished journey over the years, and we wish him the very best for future endeavours,” SRH said in a statement released through their verified social media handle.
