Indian Premier League (IPL) officially announces its association with new streaming and broadcasting partners. The intense bidding that continued for nearly two days involved media giants like Viacom18, Sony, Star, and Times Internet, which finally wrapped up on Tuesday after an announcement on the Twitter handle of the league. According to the reports, the amount for the total rights accounted for a whopping amount of Rs. 48,390 crores. Overseas TV and Digital rights will be shared by the Viacom 18 and Times Internet for Rs 1324 crores.

Star media will continue its association with the IPL and have renewed its rights for Broadcasting for Rs. 23, 527 crores. Unlike last year had a closed-door auction, IPL Auction 2022 has become the talk of the town for its cash-rich legacy.
