
On February 15, PTI had reported of the name change, a new logo was also unveiled on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, IPL team Kings XI Punjab renamed as Punjab Kings ahead of the 2021 IPL auction on Thursday in Chennai.
Talking about the new brand identity, group CEO Satish Menon said: “Punjab Kings is a more developed brand name, and we comprehend it was a perfect time for us to move focus on the core brand itself.”

The team, jointly currently owned by Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, Preity Zinta and Karan Paul is yet to win to IPL title since 2008.
