Jaydev Unadkat seals his place in the IPL season of 2023 as Lucknow Super Giants buy Jaydev for INR 50 lakh.
It will be an exciting month for Jaydev as he got an opportunity to play in the international test format after 12 years, followed by his secured position with LSG with IPL 2023.
Jaydev Unadkat began his IPL career in 2010 with the Kolkata Knight Riders, but his IPL salary for that season is unknown. He stayed with the team for a few more seasons, earning INR 1.15 crores in 2011 and 2012. Unadkat later played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Capitals.
Unadkat returned to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2016 season, but his fortunes changed in the 2017 season. Rising Pune Supergiants purchased him in 2017 for a nominal fee of INR 30 Lacs, but he was outstanding that season, taking 24 wickets in just 12 matches.
Unadkat hit the jackpot in the 2018 auction, when the Rajasthan Royals paid INR 11.4 crores for him, but he failed to deliver. The Rajasthan Royals then continued to release him and repurchase him at auction for a lower price. Last year, the Mumbai Indians paid INR 1.3 crores for him.
