IPL Auction 2023: LSG retained and released players

The Indian Premier League 2023 Auction will start on December 23rd, 2022. The Auction will take place in Kochi, Kerala, all in one day. Since this is not a large-scale auction, BCCI chose to complete it in a single day. This auction will now feature the players that weren’t signed by any teams or kept by their previous franchises. Because it is a mini-auction, the teams have a much smaller budget than in seasons past. India will host the 2023 IPL (as per reports).

One of the two new teams for the IPL 2022 season, Lucknow Super Giants, finished fourth in the most recent competition. KL Rahul continues to lead the team after the debut year with coach Andy Flower. Last year in 2022, Sanjiv Goenka was able to call the final bid in the team auctions as he acquired Lucknow Super Giants for a whopping amount of ₹7090 crore.

In the IPL auction 2023, each team is subject to a total salary cap of Rs. 95 crores. 5 crores more than the previous auction, to be exact.
