IPL Auction 2022: Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer along with Kagiso Rabada, David Warner in the top 10 marquee players

Indian fast bowlers like Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikal, leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and pacer Shardul Thakur are also among the top brackets.

Indian cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, with other overseas players like David Warner and Kagiso Rabada have been grouped in the Rs 2 crore highest base price category for the upcoming IPL auction 2022.

The mega auction is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

There will be 590 players, going under the hammer during the two-day auction. The IPL declares the final auction list on Tuesday. A sum of 1214 players has registered to be part of the auction this season. The player registration window got closed on January 20. That figure got cut down as per the franchises wishlist to 590, which is in the final list of players who will be going under the hammer at the player auction this time.

Amongst the 590 players, a sum of 228 are capped, players, 355 are uncapped and seven belong to associate nations.

Bangladesh’s All-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has also included himself in the top bracket with the Australian All-rounders, Mitchell Marsh, and Steve Smith.

IPL 2022 consists of 10 teams including two new franchises, Lucknow Super Giants and Ahemdabad (name yet to be decided).
