IPL Auction 2022: Punjab locks Liam Livingstone for a whopping amount of 11.5 crores

Liam Livingstone was set at a base price of Rs 1 crores at the IPL Auction 2022.

English Cricketer, Liam Livingstone forces Punjab to break its bank and buy him for Rs 11.5 crores at the IPL Auction 2022.

Liam was set at a base price of Rs 1 crore. The bidding war for Liam started between Kolkata and Chennai. Chennai looked confirmed for Liam as they kept their bidding stick up high, despite Kolkata coming again and again for him. Later on, Punjab joins the party with them. The bidding went on up till Rs 6.75 crores when Gujarat comes into action and bids for Rs 7 crores.

When Punjab went for Rs 7.25 crores, Gujarat instantly bid for Rs 7.5 crores. It became a tussle between Punjab and Gujarat in order to grab the right-handed batsman. Both the teams looked stubborn to get Liam and reaches the mark of Rs 10 crores.

Suddenly Hyderabad comes into place and bids for Rs 10.25 crores. Punjab continues to bid for Rs 10.5 crores. Punjab and Hyderabad looked extremely greedy for Liam and reaches the mark of Rs 11.5 crores.

With Punjab’s Rs 11.5 crores, Hyderabad thought not to go ahead and let Punjab have the Liam into their team.

Punjab Kings have also bought Odean Smith for Rs 6 crores.
