On the first day of the Mega auction, Ishan Kishan becomes the costliest player in the auction 2022 going for Rs 15.25 crore to Mumbai Indians. He also has become the second most expensive Indian ever. Bidding for Ishan Kishan started with a bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. Punjab led the contest till 7.75 crores until Gujrat entered the contest at INR 8 crore. The war got immensely competitive, with Hyderabad entering at Rs 13 crore. At last, Mumbai successfully got back Ishan Kishan to the side at a massive amount of 15.25 crore. With this, Ishan Kishan became the second most expensive Indian ever and the most expensive player of the Auctions 2022.

Before this, Ambati Rayudu was sold to Chennai Super Kings for INR 6.75. After a bidding war between CSK, SRH, and DC, Chennai successfully got back Rayudu in their squad. Rayudu has been an essential part of CSK’s Top-order for the last few years, and getting him back on the team is a good sign for CSK. Rayudu’s experience and form in the previous editions of IPL can be of massive advantage for CSK.
