Delhi Capitals takes hold of the U-19 World Cup 2022 winning captain, Yash Dhull at a very low price of Rs 50 lakhs.
Yash’s base price was set as Rs 20 lakhs. Delhi started the bid at Rs 20 lakhs. Surprisingly no franchise barring Delhi was willing to take Yash in their team. When IPL auctioneer, Charu Sharma was about to announce ‘sold’ for Yash Dhull at Rs 20 lakhs, Punjab comes into action and joins the bid at Rs 25 lakhs.
Slowly it started increasing by Rs 5 lakhs at each bid, and both the teams were participating to get the U-19 captain. It seemed that both the team will engage in a tussle by not letting him go but after Delhi reached the mark of Rs 40 lakhs, Punjab seemed disinterested.
It looked like a clean sweep for Delhi there, but Punjab still went ahead and bid for Rs 45 lakhs. Delhi didn’t think once and raised the bidding to Rs 50 lakhs. Beyond Rs 50 lakhs, Punjab didn’t consider going ahead and letting Delhi have Yash in their team.
