IPL Auction 2021: Akash Singh sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 20 Lakh

Akash Singh, a left arm-pacer was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 20 Lakh in the 2021 IPL Auctions held in Chennai today. Sold for his base price to Rajasthan Royals, it is not the first time the 18-year-old lad is bought in the IPL.

In 2020, Rajasthan Royals had bought the young lad in the auctions; however he did not get an opportunity to play in the final 11.

Akash made his T20 debut in November 2019 for Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20. Prior to this, the left-arm bowler has been a part of the under-19 India team at the U-19 Asia Cup 2019.

The Indian squad finished as runners-up in the tournament. Additionally, he was also called up to the India B cricket team for U 19 Challenger Cup. He earned himself a spot in the India squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
