The BCCI has finalised the IPL 2026 auction pool at 350 players, trimming a massive 1,005 names from the original longlist and adding a fresh group of overseas cricketers as new inclusions for the December 16 auction in Abu Dhabi. These players were not part of the initial registration list but have now been cleared to participate following franchise requests and late approvals.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock is one of the most notable new additions, entering the auction after a franchise personally asked the BCCI to include his name. His recent return to form, highlighted by a century in the Vizag ODI, is understood to have influenced the decision. De Kock has set his base price at Rs 1 crore, half of what it was in the previous mega auction.

Sri Lanka’s Dunith Wellalage, Kusal Perera, Binura Fernando, and Traveen Mathew also feature as new overseas inclusions, alongside players from Afghanistan, England, South Africa and the West Indies.

Complete list of new overseas inclusions:

  • Quinton de Kock (South Africa)

  • Arab Gul (Afghanistan)

  • Miles Hammond (England)

  • Dan Lategan (England)

  • Connor Eztherhuizen (South Africa)

  • George Linde (South Africa)

  • Traveen Mathew (Sri Lanka)

  • Binura Fernando (Sri Lanka)

  • Kusal Perera (Sri Lanka)

  • Dunith Wellalage (Sri Lanka)

These players will enter the auction across both capped and accelerated rounds, giving franchises expanded overseas options as they rebuild ahead of IPL 2026.
