A break in the Maldives before IPL
Following his Champions Trophy heroics, Rohit took some time off and enjoyed a vacation with his family in Maldives. The break allowed him to relax before diving back into cricketing action. Having been retired from the T20I format last year, Rohit’s appearance in the shortest format is only restricted to IPL and his fans will be eager to see the Hitman in his element as he dons the Mumbai Indians’ jersey.Â
Suryakumar Yadav to captain in first match
Suryakumar Yadav has been given the captaincy role for the team’s first match, as Hardik Pandya is serving a one-match ban due to a slow over-rate penalty from last season. Pandya will take up the captaincy roles from the second match of the team.Â
