Punjab Kings have made major changes this year, appointing Indian batter Shreyas Iyer as their new captain after securing him for a record ₹26.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The franchise also strengthened its squad with key signings, including Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, Nehal Wadhera, Harpreet Brar, and Vijaykumar Vyshak.

Punjab Kings will open their IPL 2025 campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 25, followed by a match against Lucknow Super Giants. Their first home game is set for April 5 against Rajasthan Royals.
