Kolkata Knight Riders’ pacer Vaibhav Arora delivered a stunning ball to dismiss Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson, rattling the stumps and giving KKR an early breakthrough in their second match of the season at Guwhati.
Winning the toss and opting to bowl first, KKR capitalized on the conditions early. In the fourth over, Arora bowled a full, angling delivery at 132.6 kmph that completely outfoxed Samson. The RR captain premeditatedly charged down the track, looking to create room and attack through the off-side, but failed to make any contact. The ball sneaked past his bat, crashing into the stumps, leaving Samson stunned.
Samson managed 13 runs off 11 balls, including two crisp boundaries, but his aggressive intent backfired against Arora’s precision. The KKR players erupted in celebration as the bowler claimed his first wicket of the season.
After four overs, Rajasthan Royals are at 34/1, with young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and newly appointed captain Riyan Parag at the crease. With both teams looking for their first win of the season, this early dismissal could prove crucial in shaping the remainder of the innings.
