History was made in Jaipur on Saturday as Rajasthan Royals’ Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to debut in the Indian Premier League. At just 14 years and 23 days old, Suryavanshi stepped onto the big stage during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants in Match 36 of IPL 2025.
The teenage sensation was drafted into the squad after regular captain Sanju Samson was ruled out due to an abdominal injury. With Rajasthan Royals opting to field first after losing the toss, Suryavanshi was named in the impact substitutes list, expected to join during the batting innings.
