In the build-up to the eagerly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) auction scheduled for December 19, all participating teams disclosed the lists of retained and released players on Sunday.

The teams collectively retained a substantial count of 174 players, while a total of 81 players were released into the auction pool. Kolkata Knight Riders took the lead in releasing the highest number of players.
