Rahul Tripathi, the leading run-scorer for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), is all set to take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 13th at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. The 31-year-old right-handed batter played a crucial role in SRH’s last game against Punjab Kings where he remained unbeaten on 74 off 48 deliveries and guided his team to a comfortable win.
In a recent statement, Tripathi expressed his happiness for contributing to the team’s success in the last game and said that he would like to repeat the same process in the upcoming game against KKR. He also acknowledged that today’s game is a different challenge with a different venue and opposition.
Tripathi further spoke about his batting approach, stating that he played the situation better in the last game and took calculated risks to put the bowlers under pressure. He also admitted that he got out too early in the first game but adjusted well in the second game, where the wicket was difficult to bat on.
Rahul Tripathi: Happy that I got to contribute in the last game, would like to repeat the same process. Good to get runs under my belt. Today is a different venue, different opposition so it is a new challenge. I played the situation better in the last game, the first quick I was out too quick, the second game there was a difficult wicket but the other day our bowlers did well so the target was always in our sight. T20 is about taking those risks, and putting the bowler under pressure.
