Mumbai Indians did some great business on the auction day which happened on 23rd December, Friday in Kochi. The five-time champions Mumbai Indians are ready to play the next season of IPL.
Mumbai Indians bought another pacer in this year’s IPL auction named Jhye Richardson for INR 1.5 crore. The Australian pacer is excited to join the squad as he also tweeted after the team bought him.
As Mumbai Indians have four wonderful pacers in the squad now, it will be interesting to see which three or two pacers will be in their starting XI in the coming season of IPL.
Mumbai Indians’ possible bowling combinations in IPL 2023:
1. Jasprit Bumrah: The Indian pacer is one of the first names on the team sheet of Mumbai Indians. He will definitely remain in the starting XI in the IPL 2023.
2. Jofra Archer: As the English pacer is back from a long injury break, he will be in the Mumbai Indians’ starting XI in the next year’s IPL.
3. Jason Behrendorff: The Australian pacer is another bowler who can be in the starting XI but it seems unlikely as they have also bought an all-rounder named Cameroon Green in IPL 2023 auctions.
4. Jhye Richardson: He was bought for INR 1.5 Crore in this year’s auction. He is also unlikely to be in the squad. Mumbai Indians might have bought him to strengthen their bowling line-up. He can be used when Mumbai Indians’ require three pacers in any game.
