Tim David was named to the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates in August of 2021. In February 2022, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the 2022 Indian Premier League auction for INR 8.25 crore. He’s the first Singaporean international to play in the IPL. His power-hitting abilities matched Kieron Pollard’s Mumbai Indians teammate in 2022.

The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians, look strong this season, with Rohit Sharma as their skipper. In addition, at the IPL auction for the 2023 edition, management opted for top Australian players, including Cameron Green and Jhye Richardson. As well as these two, Tim David is a regular member of Mumbai Indians’ playing XI. Overseas players like Tim David, Jhye Richardson and Cameron Green can turn the game independently.

After finishing at the bottom of the table in 2022, Mumbai Indians will look to redeem themselves in this season’s edition. Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match of the upcoming IPL season on April 2nd 2023.
