Rajasthan Royals once again proved their dominance over the Chennai Super Kings as they clinched a comfortable victory by 32 runs in their latest encounter. The Royals have now successfully won both the league games against the tough team of Chennai Super Kings and climbed to the top of the charts.
The Rajasthan Royals set the tone for the game with an incredible batting performance in the first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 77 runs off 43 deliveries and Dhruv Jurel’s last moment iconic innings of 34 runs off 15 deliveries were the highlights of their innings as they smashed a total of 202 runs on the scoreboard.
However, CSK started the second innings on a positive note with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway opening the innings. The first six overs of the innings seemed promising for CSK but Conway struggled at a strike rate of 50.00 and ultimately got out for only 8 runs off 16 deliveries. Ajinkya Rahane once again fell for Ashwin, who bagged his wicket twice this season and the 6th time in IPL overall.
Despite the early setbacks, Shivam Dube played an incredible innings and managed to get his fifty in just 29 deliveries. His knock gave some hope to the CSK camp, but it was just not enough as they lost the game by a big margin of 32 runs.
The Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers displayed a clinical performance and never let CSK settle in the game.
