In a clash between two veteran Indian cricketers, Ravichandran Ashwin once again got the better of Ajinkya Rahane, as he dismissed him for the sixth time in the Indian Premier League.
The wicket came in the 10th over of the innings, with RR well on top after picking up two quick wickets in the previous two overs. Rahane had looked in decent touch, scoring 15 runs off 13 deliveries before attempting to take on Ashwin. Coming down the track, Rahane got too close to the carrom ball and could not get the elevation to clear long-on. Jos Buttler ran to his right and took a good catch, sending Rahane back to the pavilion.
It was another fascinating battle between two experienced Indian cricketers, with Ashwin coming out on top once again. This was the second time in this season that Ashwin had dismissed Rahane, and the sixth time overall in the IPL.
