According to Kasi Viswanathan ( CEO ), Chennai Super Kings have little confidence in Choudhary, doubtful due to injuries. Kasi Viswanathan told Crizbuzz: “It would be unfortunate if Mukesh is unavailable. He was one of our regular bowlers last year.”
Choudhary rehabilitates for a back injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Even though he has been around for about seven years, he has only played 13 first-class matches because he is primarily regarded as a white ball player. In response to a query, Mukesh stated, “I am doing well and hope to get better soon.” In December, Mukesh played a few List A games for his home state Maharashtra but has since been unavailable. Mukesh Choudhary claimed 16 wickets in 13 matches in the previous season of IPL. For CSK, Kyle Jamieson will also miss the season due to an injury. The franchise bought him for INR 1 crore. On the first day of the new season (March 31 2023), Chennai Super Kings will play Gujarat Titans away.
Now Lucknow Super Giants’ Moshin Khan will also miss the upcoming season due to an injury. It is also reported that BCCI has warned NCA to look after players’ injuries better.
