Before the T20 extravaganza began, the leaders of the participating teams gathered to take pictures with the glistening IPL trophy. One prominent figure is noticeably absent from the picture, and that is Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians.
According to several accounts, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was unable to attend the pre-IPL captains’ meeting and the traditional picture shoot on Thursday, March 30 because of his health.
Apart from Rohit, officials from each of the other nine clubs had gathered at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Images of this event were shared on the official Twitter account of the Indian Premier League.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in the picture shoot in place of their chosen skipper Aiden Markram, who is presently in South Africa as a result of official obligations.
