Moeen Ali, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, produced an exceptional bowling spell in a recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He completed his 4-over spell without conceding a single boundary, while also taking two crucial wickets for just 13 runs.
The first wicket came when Moeen Ali bowled to Kyle Mayers, who was caught by Gaikwad. Moeen Ali had Mayers’ number once again and gave the ball some flight, tempting the left-hander to charge out for a big slog. Unfortunately for Mayers, his bat turned as he played the shot, and Gaikwad at long-off took a comfortable catch. This early breakthrough helped CSK to get off to a great start.
The second wicket came when Moeen Ali bowled to Karan Sharma, who was caught and bowled by the all-rounder. The batter danced out and tried to slam the ball down the ground, hitting it straight back at Moeen who completed a sharp caught and bowled, holding out his hands for a reverse cup while shielding his face.
