IPL 2023: KL Rahul ruled out of IPL 2023 due to a hip injury

KL Rahul will not feature in the IPL 2023 as he has sustained a hip injury.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2023 IPL season due to a hip injury he sustained while fielding in a match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rahul, who is a key player for Punjab Kings, was seen in visible discomfort during the game against Bangalore, and it was later revealed that he had suffered a hip injury. The team management announced that Rahul will be undergoing rehabilitation for the next few weeks, which means he will not be able to participate in the remaining games of the IPL.

However, the LSG management will be hoping that the rest of the team can step up and fill the void left by Rahul’s absence. The likes of Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran will need to take up the responsibility of scoring runs at the top of the order. The team management will also have to make some tough decisions about the captaincy.

However, the Lucknow Super Giants will be hoping that he makes a speedy recovery and returns to the team soon. In the meantime, the rest of the team will need to step up and play to their full potential to keep their hopes of making it to the playoffs alive.
