He suffered a severe injury to himself during the game. Williamson jumped above the deck and palmed the ball back onto the field to save two runs. Kane Williamson has been ruled out of this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League, according to Sports Talk.

In a post-match press conference following Gujarat’s win, captain Hardik Pandya updated about Kane Williamson’s injury saying, “I just messaged him. I don’t know about the update. He has gone for scans. He will know what it is when the scans and doctor’s checks are completed. Right now, there is no time frame – what has happened? It is the knee, but I don’t understand how serious and long it will take.”
