Despite losing five wickets and the Delhi Capitals being in one of their worst positions, Aman Khan has assisted the team with his crucial half-century. Yesterday, RCB was able to defend a score of 126 runs and we can also expect something similar today. Fortunately for DC, the team has managed to cross the 100-run mark, which at one point seemed impossible. Thanks to Aman Khan’s heroics, the team can hope for a good total by the end of the innings.
Aman Khan has played a vital role in helping his team recover from a precarious position. Despite losing five wickets early on, Aman showed tremendous resilience and skill to score his maiden fifty in IPL.
However, his innings was cut short by the brilliant Rashid Khan, who took a well-judged catch off his own bowling to dismiss Aman. Aman had tried to chip a tossed up leg spinner from Rashid towards deep mid-wicket, but ended up miscuing the shot and offering a simple catch to Abhinav Manohar.
Even though Aman’s innings ended, he had played an important role in steering his team to a respectable total.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami played a pivotal role in putting the Delhi Capitals on the backfoot, by taking four wickets for just seven runs in the power-play, making it one of the best bowling spells in the IPL history.
Shami displayed exceptional bowling skills and fielding coordination to dismiss Philip Salt, Rilee Rossouw, Manish Pandey, and Priyam Garg, all caught by Wriddhiman Saha.
