In a thrilling encounter between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL season, the CSK team managed to bag their fourth wicket of the Royals with an excellent delivery from Maheesh Theekshana.
The dismissal came in the 17th over of the match when Theekshana bowled a quicker flicker on a back of a length just outside off. The ball had no room to cut and the batsman, Shimron Hetmyer, ended up dragging it back on via a thick inside-edge onto the stumps. Hetmyer could not contribute much to the Royals’ innings and departed for just 8 runs off 10 deliveries.
This wicket was crucial for the CSK team, as it helped them fight back after a tough opening partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. Earlier, Jaiswal played a brilliant knock, scoring 77 runs off just 43 deliveries, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. However, Tushar Deshpande changed the momentum.
