Mumbai Indians has replaced their star bowler Jofra Archer for the remainder of the season after the pacer sustained a minor injury and for that concern he will be going back home for retaining his fitness ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be played in the month of October.
Another English pacer Chris Jordan has replaced Jofra in the Mumbai Indians squad for the remainder of the season. The pacer will be playing some games for the team and also will be looking to help the team get to the playoffs this season.
“Chris Jordan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season. Chris replaces Jofra Archer, whose recovery and fitness continues to be monitored by ECB. Jofra will return to focus on his rehabilitation,” MI wrote in a post on Twitter.
Mumbai Indians will be playing their next game in the IPL 2023 against Royal challengers Bangalore on May 9 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This could be the match where fans can see the new bowler Chris Jordan play in the team.
