Led by the iconic MS Dhoni, CSK walked away with the prestigious trophy and a substantial cash prize of Rs 20 crore. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans, captained by Hardik Pandya, put up a commendable fight but had to settle for the runner-up position and a cash prize of Rs 12.5 crore.
While CSK’s triumph in the final was commendable, it was Gujarat Titans’ player Shubman Gill who stole the show, earning himself multiple titles and the highest cash prize of the season. Gill’s outstanding performance throughout the IPL 2023 earned him the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs, while his teammate Mohammed Shami claimed the Purple Cap for the most wickets, finishing with an impressive tally of 28. Shami was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh for his exceptional bowling prowess.
The Rajasthan Royals’ young talent, Yashasvi Jaiswal, also made a mark in the tournament and was recognized as the IPL Emerging Player of the Season. Jaiswal’s promising performance earned him a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh as well.
