Jos Buttler raced Rajasthan Royals to the IPL Grand Finale yesterday. Buttler played a sensational knock of 106* runs in 60 balls. With this century, he holds a joint record with Virat Kohli for most centuries in an IPL season. The serendipity is that three out of the four times when Buttler smashed a century, the player on the non-strike was Shimron Hetmyer. In a cheerful video shared by Rajasthan Royals, Hetmyer says, “Whenever he scores a hundred, I’m always on the other side.” In reply, Buttler shakes Hetmyer’s hand, hugs him, and says, “Yeah, man, I take you everywhere with me.” The video depicts the friendship the fellow teammates possess and how, coincidently, Hetmyer has been a lucky charm to Jos Buttler.
