IPL 2022: “Rain and thunderstorm staying away to witness,” fans rush in support of Sanju Samson’s thunderous inning

RR skipper Sanju Samson wasn’t picked up by theselectors for the upcoming South Africa tour of India.

Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are up against each other in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022. The game is being played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Gujarat Titans won the toss and Rajasthan Royals were invited to bat first.

RR skipper Sanju Samson scored 46 runs against GT in this crucial game on May 24. He made a great partnership with Jos Buttler after RR lose an early wicket in the game. It was a brilliant inning from Sanju as he took just 25 balls to score 46 runs. Indian uncapped player named Sai Kishore then sent Sanju Samson back to the pavilion.

Earlier this week, BCCI announced the 18-man squad for the upcoming ‘South Africa tour of India’. RR skipper Sanju Samson wasn’t included in the T20I squad. However, some fans also questioned the selection of some players namely Ruturaj Gaikwad who wasn’t in great touch in this year’s IPL, and KKR opener Venkatesh Iyer. Sanju Samson has consistently been playing well for his franchise (Rajasthan Royals) but still finding it difficult to enter into the Indian squad.
