IPL 2022: “Practiced batting from last 5 overs to be out on a golden duck,” netizens roast Krunal Pandya for poor finish in eliminator

Krunal Pandya was considered to be a game-changer for LSG but the all-rounder couldn’t do much when the RCB kept snatching the game away from the fist of LSG.

Krunal Pandya has come under heavy criticism by netizens for his poor show in the eliminator match against RCB. The RCB while scoring 207 runs ensured they were a step ahead in the contest but the LSG looked promising from the start when KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda took over the batting roles and kept striking the RCB bowlers. But it seemed KL Rahul failed to come out of his shell as the skipper-opener scored 79 runs but couldn’t accelerate the inning when it needed the most. The likes of Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel were the star bowlers who ensured RCB sealed the win.

LSG had a phenomenal depth in their batting order, one being Krunal Pandya, who was seen practicing batting since the last five overs of the match. LSG lacked the strokeplay by skipper KL Rahul and the lower-order. Marcus Stoinis and Ewin Levis were hailed to be the trump cards of the finish but it was the RCB bowlers who had the last smile. Krunal Pandya came out to bat when the team needed runs at 14 runs per over but the all-rounder scored a duck. The player came under heavy criticism.
