IPL 2022: MS Dhoni announces his decision to play 2023 IPL

However, MS Dhoni remains tight-lipped on whether IPL 2023 will be his final season.

MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, confirmed to the fans that he will continue to play for the team in yellow in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League 2023.

During the toss for the 68th match of the ongoing IPL 2022, MS Dhoni was questioned whether he would play in the IPL 2023, to which he replied, “Definitely. It’ll be unfair on Chepauk crowd if I don’t play any games there”.

Dhoni, 41, had given up captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja at the start of the season, but was returned after the all-rounder quit. Jadeja has also missed squad camp this season owing to injury, prompting speculation about team breakdowns, but he is likely to join the team in the IPL 2023.

However, Dhoni remains tight-lipped on whether IPL 2023 will be his final season.

Along with five-time champions Mumbai Indians, the four-time champions hasn’t had the best season in IPL 2022 and will not make the playoffs.
