On Friday, Royal Challengers Bangalore put on a target of 158 runs for Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 2. In the first over of the second half, Siraj conceded 16 runs in the first over against Yashasvi Jaiswal. Siraj’s over indignant RCB fans and Twitter was then filled with criticism on Siraj’s selection in the playing XI. In his two-over spell in the Qualifiers, Siraj conceded three sixes to become the first bowler in history to concede 30 sixes in an IPL season. Siraj is a crucial part of the Indian Test team. However, he isn’t able to get his line and length right in the shorter formats and has been quite expensive for RCB. In Tata IPL 2022, Siraj has only taken nine wickets in 15 matches with a poor economy of 10.08. Siraj will have to work on his variations to stay alive in the shorter format of the game.
