At the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 29), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) set a Guinness World Record by producing the world’s largest white jersey.
The 15 years of IPL was imprinted on the jersey. It also included the logos of ten different teams, as well as the BCCI and IPL logos. The enormous jersey is 66*42 meters long.
During the closing ceremony prior of the IPL 2022 final between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah, and IPL chairman Brijesh Patel received the accolade.
The final will feature Gujarat Titans, a first-time IPL entry, and Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural IPL champions. The team captained by Hardik Pandya qualified for the final after defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1. Sanju Samson and his teammates defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator to go to the final.
