IPL 2022: BCCI rewards curators and groundsmen to help organise matches

The curators and groundsmen of all six sites that staged the 15th season of the Indian Premier League will get a cash reward, according to the BCCI secretary, Shah called them the unsung heroes and the men who gave the best games in IPL 2022.

Following the completion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Sunday (May 29), The Indian Cricket Board has announced Rs 1.25 crore in “prize money” for curators and groundsmen at the six locations that hosted the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 edition. Jay Shah stated that the curators and ground staff at the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, as well as those at the MCA Stadium in Pune, will receive Rs 25 lakh each, while those at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will receive Rs 1.25 crore each.

“We’ve witnessed some high octane games and I would like thank each one of them for their hardwork. 25 lacs each for CCI, Wankhede, DY Patil and MCA, Pune. 12.5 lacs each for Eden and Narendra Modi Stadium,” he added.
In Maharashtra, the BCCI hosted 70 league games over four sites in Mumbai and Pune. Kolkata hosted Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Ahmedabad hosted Qualifier 2. Wankhede and Brabourne Stadiums in Mumbai held 21 and 16 matches, respectively. Meanwhile, 20 games were conducted at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and 13 at the MCA venue in Pune.
