The day after Lasith Making his retirement from the franchise cricket, Jasprit Bumrah came up with a heartfelt post on Twitter paying tribute to his ‘guru’ Lasith Malinga. He posted two pictures with former Mumbai Indian’s pacer and congratulated him for a successful franchise career and said IPL will not be the same without you.
Lasith Malinga is the most successful bowler in IPL history despite playing 10 seasons from 13. Both Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah shared their dressing room for Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians released the pacer on the last day of submission of the retention list as they were aware of him being retired from the franchise cricket.
It’s been an honour playing alongside you and picking your brain all these years, Mali. Congratulations on a successful career, the IPL won’t be the same without you. @mipaltan pic.twitter.com/9XIPr13dtN

Mumbai Indians thanked Malinga for the memorable moments that the pacer gave the team, especially in the final ball of a championship match. The franchise pays tribute by posting a video on its official Twitter page. The chant of MAA-LI-NGAA MAA-LI-NGAA could be heard at the Wankhede stadium.
👀 Malinga is staring down. He lifts his hand up and kisses the ball. Wankhede is echoing with MA-LIN-GA MA-LIN-GA as he picks up momentum in his run up. He slings and bowls. The ball moves, dips and finds the base of the stump through the batsman’s defence. 🎯 pic.twitter.com/kFe7H8JSt9
