IPL 2021 Auction: Zaheer Khan and Akash Ambani pleased after getting Marco Jensen in the team

The most successful franchise of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians are very pleased after buying Maro Jenson on Thursday’s IPL auction. The official Twitter page of MI uploaded the video of bowling coach Zaheer Khan and owner Akash Ambani’s reaction over getting the young bowler from South Africain the team. The franchise bought Marco Jensen for his base price of just 20 Lakh.

Zaheer Khan who had an incredible journey in IPL when he played for the Mumbai Indians is now looking forward to working with the youngster Jensen. He applauded him for his technique and also surprised him to see him go for such a low price.


“The youngster Marco Jensen has been a very highly rated bowler in South Africa. I was surprised to see him go at such a low price. We were expecting some bidding war around that,” Zaheer Khan said.

Also, Akash Ambani son of Mukesh Ambani shared his experience after getting Marcxo in the team. He said we were looking for him for the past two years and the kind of bowler and all-rounder he is will definitely help us in the upcoming season. He also talked about the height of the [player that will be the major beneficial attribute for the franchise.

“We have been tracking Marco for the last 2 years. We’ve been an international scout program put in the place from the last few years like we’ve hand an Indian scout program. This year he was in the Test squad going to Pakistan. So, we had a quiet word with Quinton de Cock and he said you have to go for him, he is completely ready now. What he brings to the table is that he is six feet eight left-arm fast bowlers who swing the new ball and can bat a little bit at nu8mber eight. It sounds like he can do everything,” said Akash.
