The ongoing mini-auction of the Indian Premier League is looking so big till now. The franchises are spending their money without a second thought maybe. Despite having a small purse of 20 crore lump sum, Chennai Super Kings bought Krishnappa Gowtham for more than 9 crores.

The players who were released because of their unlikely performances in IPL 2020, get bought for more than they thought. The foreign players like Glenn Maxwell, Chris Morris get bombarded with money in the auction. South African all-rounder Chris Morris not only became the most expensive player of the 2021 auction but an all-time expensive player of the Indian Premier League. He gets a new franchise Rajasthan Royals for a whopping amount of 16.25 crores.

Kyle Jamieson sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for an amount of 15 crores and join the list of most expensive players in IPL 2021 as well as IPL all editions. The New-Zealand player gets this whopping price because of his recent performances.

Glenn Maxwell is the third most expensive player who was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 14.25 crore. Not only experienced but new talents and uncapped Indian and foreign players also joined the list of expensive players. Jhye Richardson sold Punjab Kings for 14 crores.

The most expensive player from India was Krishnappa Gowtham who get sold to Chennai Super Kings for 9.25 crores, he is also an uncapped player till now. The foreign uncapped player Riley Meredith gets 8 crores from Punjab Kings to play for them in the 14th edition of IPL.
