Chennai Super Kings on Sunday afternoon dismissed the chances of Kings XI Punjab qualifying as they took over the side with a 9 wicket victory. Although the MS Dhoni-led side was already outside the playoff race, they spoiled chances of many by winning their last few games.
A lot of rumours around captain cool retiring did the rounds and the man himself banished them allayed of the toss. The players were seen collecting his jerseys after the match and that was adding fuel to the fire.
“Good to see you’ve got some jerseys left, everyone has been sneaking some jerseys from you,” said presenter Harsha Bhogle.“Maybe they thought I am retiring, you know. I retired from international cricket, so they might be thinking I am retiring from IPL as well,” Dhoni replied.

It is the first time that CSK has not made the playoff cut and It has surprised many. The business end saw CSK picking up pace but they arrived too late to the party. The skipper believed that they would rebuild their team and come back stronger next year.
