IPL 2020: Shikhar Dhawan completes maiden 600 runs in an IPL season

Shikhar Dhawan slams more than 600 runs in IPL 2020 making it his highest in a single edition of the league.

The Delhi Capitals (DC) opener Shikhar Dhawan became the only 2nd batsman to slam more than 600 runs in a single edition of the IPL 2020 season. This is also the veteran’s highest count in a single IPL season with previous run score being 559 in the IPL.

However, Shikhar Dhawan failed out on scoring his third hundreds in the IPL 2020 which would have made him the only 2nd batsman to have made 3 or more hundreds in a single edition of the IPL league. RCB’S skipper Virat Kohli has more than 2 hundreds in one IPL edition.

“I have been scoring five hundred runs over the last 4 years. All the seasons are my best seasons, in that case. But it’s special because I scored two centuries and two ducks, which I never did. Happy that I can perform consistently and provide a great start to my team, great platform to my team.

As far as I am concerned, all the seasons are good for me. I have been playing with a good mindset this season as well,” Shikhar Dhawan said in a virtual media press conference ahead of the playoffs stage.

Shikhar Dhawan with 603 runs in 16 innings has currently become the 2nd highest run-getter in the IPL 2020. He also scored his fastest IPL fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2nd qualifier of the IPL 2020.
