The India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain is always at the center of attention. He was at it once again as comments poured after he shared glimpses of his training from Dubai in the lead up to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Former England and RCB batsman Kevin Pietersen, it seems, wasn’t impressed with Virat Kohli’s attempt at playing a defensive shot. As Kohli posted a photo of him presenting a dead bat to a delivery at the nets, Pietersen reminded the star batsman he was preparing for IPL and not a Test series.
Kevin Pietersen teased Virat Kohli, saying: “Get on with it please! T20 not a Test Match!”.
On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, a close friend of Virat Kohli, lauded the skipper’s football skills after he shared a photo of training with a football from RCB’s session.
“Nice technique right there,” Kane wrote.
Virat Kohli and his RCB teammates have been having some intense training sessions in Dubai. RCB are training in batches to ensure safety in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. All 8 teams are adhering to strict safety protocols laid out by the Indian cricket board in its elaborate Standard Operation Procedure for IPL 2020.
